Fall 2025 NRA Shooting Day

Our Fall 2025 Arizona District NRA Day at Ben Avery was an incredible success, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who came out to learn, experience, share, and grow together. From the first shots at 8:30 AM to the final rounds in the early afternoon, the range was filled with excitement, encouragement, and the unmistakable sound of Rangers and leaders sharpening their skills in a safe, supervised environment.

Boys and girls from 3rd–12th grade, commanders, ministry leaders, and families all stepped onto Rifle Range 2 ready for a day of marksmanship, confidence‑building, and hands‑on learning. With firearms and ammo provided, and NRA‑certified Range Safety Officers overseeing every detail, participants of all experience levels were able to enjoy a safe and welcoming introduction to shooting sports.

The practice opportunities for the RR NSSP Top Shot National Competition were a highlight, giving our young marksmen and leaders a chance to prepare for the national match.

A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to our District staff, Commander Martin, and every leader who helped plan, supervise, and support this event. Your commitment to safety, excellence, and mentorship made the day run smoothly and ensured that every participant—beginner or experienced—felt confident and cared for. Your service continues to strengthen our ministry and create opportunities for boys and girls to grow in skill, character, and courage.

As we pack away our chairs, shade canopies, and empty water bottles, we’re already looking forward to the next time we gather on the range. Until then, thank you for making this year’s NRA Day one to remember.
